Where is Du Kang from?
In the ancient legend of China, Du Kang, the monarch of the Xia Dynasty, was surnamed Si. The son of Xia Wangxiang, whose mother is You Jean (now Weishan County, Shandong Province). According to folklore and historical records, Shao Kang, also known as Du Kang, was born in Ruyang, Henan Province, and was the fifth king of Xia Dynasty. Du Kang is the originator of grain wine-making in China, and was later called fine wine. Du Kang is the "ancestor of brewing" in China's historical biography. According to folklore in different regions, Du Kang, a wine-making saint, is also known as the minister of the Yellow Emperor, the monarch of the Xia Dynasty, the wine-making saint of the Zhou Dynasty and Du Kangzhi of the Han Dynasty.

Legend has it that in the era of the Yellow Emperor, there was a man named Du Kang who was in charge of grain management. At that time, with the development of agriculture, there was a bumper harvest every year. But there is too much food to eat, so it can only be stored in caves, which are dark and humid. After a long time, all the food has rotted. Du Kang said, and began to think hard about ways to store food.

On this day, Du Kang came for a walk in the Woods and found several dead trees, leaving only the thick and empty trunk. Du Kang had a brainwave and poured all the food into the dry trunk. After a while, Du Kang came to the Woods to check the grain. He was surprised to find that some wild boar, goats and rabbits were lying motionless in front of the dead trees where food was stored, as if they were dead. He hurried closer to see what had happened: the original box of grain had cracked several cracks and kept leaking from the inside out. It seems that these animals lie down after licking the water. But what kind of water is this? Du Kang leaned over and smelled it, only to feel a faint fragrance. He couldn't help taking a few sips of this strong perfume and felt refreshed. Later, Du Kang took the Luzhou-flavor water home for everyone to taste. Everybody take a bite and I'll take a bite and say it's delicious. In this way, wine gradually spread among the people, and Du Kang was also honored as "Dionysus".
