Famous mountains and beautiful waters breed ancient fairyland, and folk stories rap ancient and modern legends. China Wudang International Tourism Festival, sponsored by Hubei Provincial People's Government, opened today in the tourist resort of danjiangkou city.

The three-day tourism festival will hold a series of cultural tourism and economic activities, such as the construction of ecological memorial forests in four cities along the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the exhibition and academic seminar of high-quality citrus in the northernmost edge of China, the exhibition of tourism products in northwest Hubei, the folk performance of Wudang folk songs, the photo exhibition of scenic spots, and the investment and trade fair.

Danjiangkou city is located in the northwest of Hubei Province. There are Taoist holy places, Wudang Mountain, a world cultural heritage, Danjiangkou Reservoir, the water diversion source of the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, Wujiagou Folk Story Village, Lujiahe, the first village of Han folk songs, and a number of tourism resource brands, forming a beautiful landscape with beautiful mountains and beautiful waters and natural and human interaction, and forming a "golden tourism circle" at the junction of central and western China.

This international tourism and cultural event is held in Wudang Mountain every September or June at 5438+ 10. The duration is 4 days or one month. Hosted by Hubei Provincial People's Government, this art festival is hosted by Provincial Tourism Bureau, Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee, Shiyan Municipal People's Government Affairs and Wudang Mountain Special Zone.

The first session was held in 1998, and the opening ceremony was a large-scale cultural performance with Wudang characteristics. During this period, we will hold "Taoist Tour" browsing activities, Baoping and Anqing Dafa Festival, Wudang Film and Television Week, bonfire party, economic and trade talks and other activities to show visitors charming natural scenery and profound Wudang culture. The whole activity has played a positive role in promoting Wudang culture, expanding publicity, promoting foreign exchanges and the development of Wudang Mountain tourism.

The 7th Wudang International Tourism Festival, hosted by Hubei Provincial Government and undertaken by Shiyan Municipal Government, was held from September 6th to 2nd, 2006. A total of more than ten activities in three series, such as tourism promotion, Wudang Mountain scenic area activities and Wudang Automobile Expo, were designed. The theme of this grand event is "Wudang goes to the world, Shiyan embraces the future", and the opening ceremony will hold a large-scale literary evening in cooperation with CCTV's "Happy China Tour" column.

During the Tourism Festival, a series of large-scale activities will be held, such as the "Fairy Mountain, Holy Water and Automobile City" development forum, the completion ceremony of the Southern Rock Hall in Wudang Mountain, the Shiyan National Games and the final of the National Automobile Model Competition. Li Faping, secretary of the Working Committee and director of the Management Committee of Wudang Mountain Special Zone, and Lu Xichang, director of the Municipal Tourism Bureau introduced the tourism resources of Wudang Mountain and Shiyan respectively. China Travel Agency Association Council, Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Bureau, Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Bureau, Hubei Provincial Tourism Bureau, and the tourism commissions of Wuhan, Yichang, Xiangfan and Shennongjia forest areas in the province 16 city and state tourism bureaus, 3/kloc-0 provinces, autonomous regions and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan provinces, as well as travel agencies and relevant responsible persons of major companies in the United States, France, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia. After the opening ceremony, a large number of programs with unique local characteristics, such as the magnificent 100-person gongs and drums in Maojian District, the ancient and beautiful Phoenix Lantern Dance in Yunxian County, Lujiahe folk songs in Danjiangkou, Zhuxi tea songs and Wudang Mountain martial arts performances, were staged intensively, bringing a beautiful audio-visual feast to the audience.

More than 400 kinds of tourist commodities produced and operated by more than 50 enterprises in the city set up booths around the square for guests to visit and choose. We saw at the scene that in addition to the well-known turquoise, there are mushrooms, fungus, holy water tea, local yellow wine, white wine, snacks and so on. There are also Shiyan tourist attractions, Dongfeng car models, Wudang swords, root carving stones, the first banquet in the world and other products with Shiyan local characteristics.

In addition to the display of tourism commodities, the People's Square of the city also held a large-scale photo exhibition of Shiyan tourism resources, with an exhibition area of 7,000 square meters, which concentrated on displaying the tourism resources of 28 A-level scenic spots in the city, such as Wudang Jinding, Wudang Zixiao Palace, Danjiangkou Dam, Wudang South Shen Dao Scenic Area, Qinglong Mountain National Geopark, Yunlong River in Yunxi and savage valley in Fangxian County, totaling more than 100. It is understood that this photo exhibition will last for 4 days from today until 19.
