What are Homer's profiles in Europe?
According to legend, Homer is the author of two ancient Greek epics, Heriat and Odyssey. Whether he really exists, his identity, birthplace and so on have always been controversial issues for western scholars. At present, most scholars believe that Homer's statue can be a blind artist who recited epic poems in the eighth and ninth centuries BC. He arranged the two epics according to the oral passages. Hiriart was written because Paris, the prince of Troy, deceived Helen, the queen of Sparta, which triggered the ten-year war of the Greek allied forces against Troy. The epic focuses on the decisive battle between Achilles, the Greek hero, and Hecktor, the Duke of Illion in the tenth year, which ended in the death of Hecktor. Among them, Achilles is an ideal tribal hero. The Odyssey tells the story of Greek general Odysseus' adventure at sea on his way home after the war, and his witty maintenance of his property and his reunion with his wife and children. It was formed a little later than Hiriart, reflecting the life scene in the embryonic period of slavery, embodying the defense of private property, and bravely advocating new family ethics through the chastity of Odysseus' wife Penie Lope. The two epics are ingenious in structure and complete in layout, and have created many heroes, also known as "heroic epics". The basic theme is to love reality, affirm people's spirit of struggle and emphasize a positive attitude towards life. The language of epic is also very characteristic, especially the metaphor is rich and colorful, appropriate and vivid, which is called "Homeric metaphor". In addition, repetition is often used to enhance the appeal of poetry.
