He also donated bridges and roads to the Niu Jiao market in Xiuzhuan, and built pavilions at the junction of Zhaoan and Heping, and Zhaoan and Maozhi in Guangdong to facilitate pedestrians.

Doing business in Siam

You Ziguang was born in the 9th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1883). When he was a child, his family was very poor. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Youziguang spared no effort to support War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression at home and took the lead in mobilizing the descendants of Youziguang to donate money to resist Japan and save the country, which was commended by the National Government at that time. 1940, Chen, Chiang Kai-shek's sworn brother and then chairman of the Kuomintang Fujian Party Department, wrote a plaque for resisting Japan and saving the country. This monument is carved with rectangular wood, 200 cm long, 65 cm wide and 8 cm thick. The plaque is engraved with four vigorous and mellow Chinese characters. The right hand book reads "You's Ancestral Hall in Zhaoan County, Fujian Province donated money to save the country, which can praise the character of the wind". The inscription is Gu Erdan, then chairman of the Kuomintang Fujian Party Department, executive member of the Kuomintang Central Committee, supervisor of Fujian and Zhejiang prison areas, and president of the Fujian and Zhejiang National Salvation Association. This plaque was sent to Longtan Family Temple by Zhao 'an county magistrate at that time, and now it is hidden in Longtan Family Temple of Zhuan.

1933 "Minsheng School" (Xiuzhuan Central Primary School) was established in Chen Long Village, my hometown, providing free admission for students in my hometown.
