Chongqing Vocational College of Electronic Engineering is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning organized by Chongqing Municipal Government, supervised by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and jointly established by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and Municipal Economic and Information Commission. It is one of the 100 national demonstration higher vocational colleges built by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. It is also the vice-president unit of China Higher Vocational and Technical Education Research Association and the vice-president unit of Chongqing Higher Education Society.
College was founded in 1965 and upgraded to the first independent higher vocational college in Chongqing in 1999.
