Liaocheng University is located in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, a national historical and cultural city with the reputation of "Jiangbei Watertown and Ancient Capital of Canal". It is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province. The history of the school can be traced back to 1902, Shandong University Teachers College. 1970 Shandong teachers college moved to Liaocheng, 1974 most departments moved back to Jinan. At the same time, Shandong Teachers College Liaocheng Branch was established, renamed Liaocheng Teachers College with the approval of the State Council, and renamed Liaocheng University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2002. The school has the right to award master's and bachelor's degrees, and has the qualification of master's students without examination, and cooperates with many universities at home and abroad to train doctoral students.
