There are two universities in Xinzhou, namely xinzhou teachers university and Xinzhou Vocational and Technical College. Xinzhou teachers university was founded in 1958. It is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and a bachelor's degree awarding unit.

Xinzhou Vocational and Technical College, established in 2004, is a college-level vocational and technical college. Personally, I think xinzhou teachers university is the better of the two schools. I am a business administration major, and I feel that our teachers here are really good. They are knowledgeable in class and thoroughly analyze cases.

Because xinzhou teachers university is the first batch of national-level "innovative experimental zone of talent training mode" determined by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance in 2007.
