The Institute of Acoustics consists of five laboratories, namely, laser ultrasound, ultrasonic testing, environmental acoustics, room acoustics and noise and vibration control, and two centers, namely, SAIC- Tongji Noise and Vibration Engineering Center and SAIC- Tongji Tire Noise and Vibration Technology Center. It has a standard anechoic room (the largest performance in the Far East is excellent, with clearance 1200m 3), a reverberation room (volume 268m 3), a sound insulation room (volume 2 × 109.6m 3), a tire noise laboratory, a laser ultrasonic laboratory, an ultrasonic testing laboratory, a gas flowmeter calibration room and an anechoic pool (volume/kloc-0). At present, there are 27 faculty members, including 9 Gao Zheng, including academician of China Academy of Engineering 1 person, high school students in technical secondary school1person, and 8 intermediate and other personnel. There are two disciplines: postdoctoral mobile station (and physics) 1 unit, doctoral program 1 unit and master program 1 unit.

Tongji University started its acoustic research in the mid-1950s and is one of the earliest institutions engaged in acoustic research in China. This subject focuses on application and applied basic research, and pays attention to the combination of traditional acoustics and modern new technologies (laser, computer, etc.). ), combining traditional acoustics with modern pillar industries (automobile, aviation industry, etc.). ), emphasizing interdisciplinary and technological innovation, and paying attention to application and applied basic research. /kloc-0 won the first master's degree in acoustics in 1978, and/kloc-0 won the second doctor's degree in acoustics universities in China in 1986. 1995 built the second postdoctoral mobile station in acoustics (established at the same time with the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences), and 1992 ranked the second in the domestic universities of acoustics in the comprehensive evaluation of disciplines in the State Council. The only "SAIC Tongji Noise and Vibration Engineering Center" was established in China by the affiliated unit of Test Acoustics Branch of Chinese Acoustics Society and the affiliated unit of Shanghai Acoustics Society 1998. In 2003, the only "Last Round Tongji Tire Noise and Vibration Technology Center" was established in China, with research funding of more than 20 million yuan and nearly 300 papers published in the past five years. Won national achievement awards and patents 15, provincial and ministerial achievement awards 18, including the first prize of national scientific and technological progress 1 and the third prize 1. The only doctoral program in acoustics that spans three doctoral programs (related to acoustics) in China: the doctoral program in architectural science and technology, the doctoral program in environmental engineering, and the doctoral program in transportation planning and management.
