Introduction to dance major

Dance majors train high-level professionals who can engage in the research of Chinese and foreign dance history, dance theory, dance teaching and choreography. This major trains senior Korean folk dance artists and "compound" specialized applied talents who can teach, create and coach Korean folk dance, China folk dance and ballet in schools, art groups, art (cultural) museums, youth palaces and other units.

Core courses: Introduction to Dance, China Dance History, European and American Ballet History, European and American Modern Dance History, Chinese and foreign traditional dance culture, dance appreciation and criticism, dance pedagogy, dance psychology, dance training and basic dance training.

Dance is a comprehensive, systematic and historical study of dance art, which includes three main parts: dance theory, dance history and dance appreciation, with the aim of cultivating dance art talents. Focus on the relationship between dance art and social real life, the characteristics of dance art, the development law of dance art and other issues. Dance, like other arts, is a social ideology that reflects human social life. The main difference between dance and other arts lies in the difference of artistic expression tools and means.
