Life is different from ordinary medical drama in that it focuses on surgery and treatment. Life focuses on the power struggle in the hospital. This is a TV series starring two actors. Zhao Chengyou plays the president of the hospital, Ju Shenghao, and Li Dongxu plays the emergency doctor Yi Zhenyu who works in the same hospital.
One is a doctor who keeps saving lives, and the other is a businessman. They think that hospitals are also enterprises. In order to be realistic, they must reduce costs, increase income and profits, change the institutional structure of hospitals, and achieve the goal of complete profitability. A dark war between the two major forces is imminent. The five largest private university hospitals in South Korea, Guoshang University Hospital, were acquired by Huazheng Group. For the first time, the hospital director is not a doctor but a professional manager with a chaebol background.
The new president Zhu Xiaosheng (played by Zhao Chengyou) thinks it is natural for enterprises to pursue profits. He is dissatisfied with the huge deficit of the hospital, and will send three deficit departments to the local hospital as soon as he takes office. However, Rui Zhenyu (Li Dongxu), an emergency expert who has been quietly doing his own job, and the dean who only cares about hospital income stand at odds, so he decided to stand up and express his position, and the contradiction between the two camps began.
