North China Electric Power University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. The board of directors composed of State Grid Corporation, China Electric Power Enterprise Federation and other 12 super-large power groups is jointly established with the Ministry of Education. It is the national "world-class discipline construction university", the national "265,438+065,438+0 project" and "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform".
The school 1958 was founded in Beijing, formerly known as Beijing Electric Power Institute, and has long been managed by the national electric power department. 1969 school moved to Handan, Hebei province, 1970 moved to Baoding, renamed Hebei Electric Power Institute. 1978 was approved by the State Council as a national key university, and was renamed as North China Electric Power Institute in the same year.
The school is headquartered in Beijing, with Baoding campus, and the two places implement integrated management. The school has nearly 3,000 faculty members, more than 20,000 full-time undergraduates and nearly 1 0,000 graduate students. The school covers an area of 1.600 mu, and the building area is 1 10,000 square meters.
