Hangzhou Dianzi University, located in the famous historical and cultural city of Hangzhou, is an institution of higher learning with outstanding electronic information characteristics, obvious advantages in economic management, and mutual penetration of engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law and teaching. The predecessor of the school is Hangzhou Aviation Industry Finance School, which was founded in 1956. With the approval of the State Council, Hangzhou University of Electronic Technology was founded in 1980, and was renamed Hangzhou University of Electronic Technology in 2004. The school belongs to Fourth Ministry of machinery industry, Ministry of Electronic Industry and Ministry of Information Industry. In 2000, the management system of * * * was implemented. In 2007, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense established Hangzhou Dianzi University, which is a key teaching and research university in Zhejiang Province. There are four campuses in Xiasha, Wen Yi, Dongyue and Xiasha East, covering an area of more than 2,000 mu. There are more than 26,000 ordinary full-time students and more than 2,200 faculty members.
