Ruijin Hospital was built in 1907, formerly known as Guangci Hospital. It is a three-level first-class general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research, with a profound century-long history. The hospital covers an area of10.2 million square meters, with a building area of 300,000 square meters and a green area of 40,000 square meters. Approved beds 1693, with 3,900 hospital employees, including more than 996 doctors.

2. Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University

Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University was founded in 1907. It is a comprehensive teaching hospital affiliated to Fudan University and directly affiliated to China Red Cross Society. Through 1992, the first batch of national third-class first-class hospitals have become one of the national high-level medical teaching and research centers and enjoy a high reputation at home and abroad.

3. Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University

Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University is a public institution entrusted by the National Health and Wellness Committee and a comprehensive teaching hospital affiliated to Fudan University. The hospital opened on 1937, and it is one of the earliest large-scale general hospitals founded and managed by China people. It belongs to the National Shanghai Medical College and was named in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the pioneer of China's democratic revolution.

4. Yan Chai Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine

Yan Chai Hospital, built in 1844, is the first western medicine hospital in Shanghai after its opening. At present, the hospital consists of four campuses, namely, East, West, North and South, and Shanghai Cancer Institute. It is a comprehensive third-class first-class hospital with complete disciplines and integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research.

5. The Ninth People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine

Bethel Hospital, the predecessor of the Ninth People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, was founded in 1920. 1952 was renamed Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, and 1964 officially became the Ninth People's Hospital of Shanghai Second Medical University.
