You are a thoughtful and motivated student, not bad! I graduated in 2007, majoring in optical information science and technology. Strictly speaking, I majored in applied physics! Basic physics will be studied in the university, as well as quantum physics, mathematical physics methods, solid state physics and so on. What I want to say is that I also liked physics very much during high school. But when I got to college, the physics of college mechanics and high school were not a concept at all! Everything is boring except mechanics, especially quantum physics and relativity. So, I don't know if you will be like me in the future, and you won't make it to the end. I think you like logical reasoning very much. If you like math very much, you may really like physics. My college physics teacher graduated from physics department of Peking University, so did my optics teacher, and my quantum physics teacher was from Tsinghua. According to their experience, few students in their class really engage in physics! There is no way out (as opposed to making money as success now). If conditions permit, it is strongly recommended that you study with newly graduated college students, but you must communicate with better college students, and they will personally experience that college is completely different from what you imagined! Never ask a high school teacher! They don't understand at all. They just want you to sign up for school! Report to the popular major! I was killed that year! If you have time, you can borrow college physics and take a look at advanced mathematics. If you are interested, you can look at the knowledge about Maxwell equations, so that you can understand the most basic physics and see if you are still interested! If you are really interested, you must stick to it! Interest is the most important!
PS: The universities with relatively strong theoretical physics strength in China are: Peking University, Nanjing University, China University of Science and Technology, Beijing Normal University, Lanzhou University, Zhejiang University, Jilin University, Sichuan University, Fudan University and Wuhan University. For your reference, it is very good to be admitted to the physics departments of the first four universities, and the rest of the physics departments are average. It is not recommended that you take an examination of other universities, and there is no way out in the future.
