Peking University was founded at the time of 1898 reform and restructuring, formerly known as Shi Jing University Hall. 2. Tsinghua University
Tsinghua School, the predecessor of the school, was founded in 19 1 1. The name of "Tsinghua" originated from the place name of the school site "Tsinghua Campus", which was a preparatory school for studying in the United States founded by the Qing government. The funds for its establishment came from 1908, part of boxer indemnity returned by the United States. 19 12 was renamed Tsinghua school. 1928 changed its name to National Tsinghua University.
3. Zhejiang University
From 65438 to 0952, some departments of Zhejiang University were placed under the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other universities, and the main part was reorganized into several universities in Hangzhou, which later developed into the original Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Medical University. 1998, four universities with the same roots merged to form the new Zhejiang University.

Beihang University was founded in 1952, formerly known as Beihang University. It was formed by the merger of Tsinghua University, Beiyang University, Xiamen University and Sichuan University, and was renamed Beihang University in April 1988.
6. Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications
Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, founded in 1955, formerly known as Beijing Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, is the first post and telecommunications institution in People's Republic of China (PRC), under the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. 1960 was identified as a national key university by the State Council. 1993, renamed as "Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications". In 2000, it was listed in the ranks of universities directly under the Ministry of Education.
7. Harbin Institute of Technology
The school was founded on 1920. 195 1 was identified as one of the two model universities in China to learn from foreign higher education. 1954 ranks among the first batch of six key universities in China (the only one outside Beijing), and it is the first science and engineering university in New China to directly award graduates the title of engineer and three-year graduate students.
8. Shanghai Jiaotong University
The school was founded in 1896, formerly known as Nanyang Public School; 19 1 1 renamed Nanyang University Hall, 1929 renamed national chiao tung university, 1949 renamed Jiaotong University; 1955, moved to Xi 'an, divided into Shanghai part of Jiaotong University and Xi 'an part; 1959 was established independently and adopted the name of "Shanghai Jiaotong University" in Shanghai.
