How to deal with being admitted to the university as a soldier
The state encourages military service, but it is not compulsory. College students can apply for retaining their school status when they join the army.

All eligible full-time college students can register in the armed forces department of their school and the armed forces department where the school is registered according to their own wishes. College students take part in the physical examination organized by the conscription office. During the physical examination, two certificates, one form and one photo will be issued, namely: ID card, student ID card, pre-enrollment object registration form and student's photo. The political examination is mainly undertaken by the county, city and district public security departments where the school is located, and the school security department undertakes it specifically.

Servicemen who have been admitted to or are studying in ordinary colleges and universities before enlisting in the army shall retain their admission qualifications or school status during their service, be allowed to enter or resume their studies within two years after retiring from active service, and enjoy preferential treatment such as scholarships, grants and tuition reduction and exemption in accordance with relevant state regulations.
