Energy conservation and emission reduction is an important measure to thoroughly implement Scientific Outlook on Development and build a harmonious socialist society. The social practice and scientific and technological competition of college students' energy saving and emission reduction is one of the main contents of "campus action of energy saving and emission reduction". In order to implement the spirit of "Notice of the Ministry of Education on Launching Campus Action of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction" (J.F. 2007 19), the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education sponsored and entrusted the Teaching Steering Committee of Energy and Power in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education to hold the "National College Students' Social Practice and Science and Technology Competition on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction".
