Stewed Sydney with Rock Sugar is adapted from the novel of the same name, which tells the story of Tang Xue, a speed skating girl, and Li Yubing, the god of ice hockey, who meet in the university campus and gain sincere love in the process of chasing their wishes on the ice.

The play sets the time point of the story in the college years, and the lively youth of the characters is naturally indispensable. Artists such as Janice and Zhang Xincheng are natural, harmonious, joyful and full of energy when playing.

In addition to the romantic plot and sweet love scenes, the biggest highlight of this drama is ice hockey, short track speed skating, figure skating and other ice sports. Liu Ning, the general producer, and Zhu Ruibin, the general director, both said that ice sports are the most difficult part of the whole play.

In order to achieve the best visual effect and ensure the professionalism of short track speed skating, ice hockey and flower skating, the crew specially built a 30-meter ×60-meter skating rink that meets the world professional competition standards to meet the needs of taking pictures.

In the choice of shooting, a professional athlete with shooting background was selected from the national team. After the play, an excellent "ice photographer" was specially trained to present thrilling sports scenes for the audience with natural lens language.

Tang Xue began to learn skating in primary school and studied short track speed skating for eight years. However, she unexpectedly gave up her wish and was later transferred to the major of animal medicine. Her temperament is a ghost horse spirit, warm and frank. Later, Tang Xue regained his wish on the ice, never gave up, fought bravely, constantly improved himself in numerous twists and turns, and finally succeeded in harvesting.

Li Yubing is the captain of the university ice hockey team, known as the "Ice God", with excellent achievements in all aspects, cold temperament and deep feelings. In the process of meeting and falling in love with Tang Xue, many different colors were unconsciously added to his life.

Yan Yu is a talented teenager in skating, 17 years old. As a special student, he entered Linda with deer eyes, which made others unable to cope. Behind the seemingly scenic life, in fact, it reveals the psychological pressure and bitterness that an excellent athlete has to bear since childhood.
