Independent undergraduate course part of the higher education self-study exam is a professional self-study exam for graduates of various forms of higher education, which is based on the starting point of the junior college level and independent of the undergraduate level. Self-study examination management institutions in most provinces implement the same management as undergraduate majors, and only those who hold a diploma of junior college (or above) or are in junior college (or above) can apply for the examination. Candidates can also obtain an undergraduate diploma after meeting the prescribed graduation requirements.
Higher education self-study examination has two academic levels: junior college, undergraduate and independent undergraduate course. With the emergence of pilot undergraduate courses in recent years, there are four types.
Expert section
The major of higher education self-study examination refers to that the registered major is consistent with the similar professional level of ordinary universities or higher vocational and technical colleges. Except for special majors, there are generally no restrictions on such majors, as long as they are China people and China citizens (including people from Hong Kong and Macao). Candidates can get a college diploma after they meet the prescribed graduation requirements.
Undergraduate end
Undergraduate course of higher education self-study examination refers to the same level of majors as similar majors in ordinary colleges and universities. This kind of specialty can be divided into subsection undergraduate course and comprehensive undergraduate course (note: the concepts of subsection undergraduate course and comprehensive undergraduate course are my own concepts for the convenience of readers).
1, segmented undergraduate course
Segmented undergraduate course means that the comprehensive undergraduate major is divided into basic courses and undergraduate courses according to the characteristics and needs of the self-taught examination, which is equivalent to the "two-second segment" of full-time colleges and universities (four-year college, one section every two years). The basic part can be directly connected with the undergraduate part.
① Basic part
The basic course section refers to the study section listed separately in the professional courses of the first and second grades of the four-year undergraduate program in ordinary colleges and universities. There are generally no restrictive conditions for such majors, and candidates can obtain graduation certificates if they meet the prescribed graduation requirements.
② Undergraduate part
Undergraduate course refers to the academic stage listed separately in the professional courses of the third and fourth grades of undergraduate courses in ordinary colleges and universities. This kind of major has conditional restrictions on candidates, that is, they can only apply for a diploma or study in a college (or above) with a nationally recognized degree. Candidates can obtain an undergraduate diploma after meeting the prescribed graduation requirements.
2. Comprehensive undergraduate courses
Single-subject undergraduate courses are rare in the field of self-taught examination, and now only a few provinces such as Zhejiang Province and Jilin Province have such majors. The main difference between this kind of specialty and segmented undergraduate specialty is that this kind of specialty is not segmented and maintains a closed and complete curriculum. Except for special majors, such majors generally do not set limited and qualitative conditions for entering the exam. Candidates can go beyond the junior college stage and obtain the undergraduate diploma directly after completing the undergraduate course and meeting the prescribed graduation requirements.
Independent undergraduate course department
For example, if a self-taught candidate has a junior college degree, he will only attend an undergraduate course, and this undergraduate course is independent undergraduate course, because he is independent and has not studied with his junior college. If you take the self-taught undergraduate course together, then this undergraduate course is an undergraduate course. Undergraduate courses and independent undergraduate course courses are exactly the same.

For the "pilot undergraduate" major, the goal of talent training has changed from the original subject type to the application type, and the curriculum has been adjusted from the original two blocks of "public courses" and "professional courses" to three blocks of "public basic courses", "professional core courses" and "elective courses". Emphasis on the cultivation of professional core competence has expanded the scope of course selection for students according to their own needs. At the same time, the curriculum assessment system has been reformed, which not only meets the needs of students, but also increases the proportion of practical curriculum assessment.
The practical course examination adopts a combination of paper-and-pencil examination and practical examination, with paper scores accounting for 70% and practical scores accounting for 30% of the total. The paper assessment and practice assessment are organized and implemented by the pilot schools themselves. Practical assessment focuses on students' learning process, that is, students' attendance in class, usual homework and skill test. This assessment method is more in line with the learning characteristics of self-taught students. Graduates from adult colleges, self-taught colleges and ordinary colleges can also complete their "pilot undergraduate" studies in a year or so.
