Task 2: Where did the professor go? This is a true story, which happened to our friends in a small town in South Africa. They are a hospitable couple and often entertain their neighbors for drinks, tea or meals. On this special spring night, they invited a retired professor to the super. At night, it began to rain cats and dogs, and the sky really opened. Because he went on foot, they offered to let him spend the night. They pointed out that by staying overnight, he did not need to go out in bad weather. He agreed with the rationality of the idea and thanked his host a lot. Things seemed to be solved. But when they washed the dishes after dinner, the forgetful professor disappeared. No one can find him. Finally, 40 minutes later, the doorbell at the front door rang. The professor was there, soaked to the skin. When he was asked what he was doing in the rain, he replied that he had gone home to get his pajamas and toothbrush because he was going to spend the night there.
