The Historical Evolution of Pediatric Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University
On April 1952, 17, with the approval of the Ministry of Health, the first hospital of China Red Cross, Ximen Women and Children Hospital Branch and Zhongshan Hospital, merged to form the Pediatric College of Shanghai First Medical College. On June 1955, it was renamed as Pediatric Hospital of Shanghai First Medical College, and later renamed as Pediatric Hospital of Shanghai Medical University. Professor Chen, the first dean, took Ximen Women and Children Hospital Branch of Zhaojiabang Road (Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital) as the hospital site. 1953, the superior allocated 1428400 yuan to build a brand-new pediatric hospital in Fenglinqiao, and moved into use in July 1954, that is, the current address is LAM Raymond Road 183.
