In order to encourage students to study hard, fully mobilize their enthusiasm and initiative in learning, and strengthen the construction of students' independent choice of major system, Taiyuan University of Technology has twice revised the Administrative Measures for Undergraduate Students to Change Major, stipulating that first-year students whose academic performance ranks in the top 20% (including 20%) of their major category can apply for changing majors across majors after the first semester. Those who rank in the top 30% (including 30%) of this major category can apply to transfer to the same major category after the end of the second semester, and those who rank before the second academic year 10% (including 10%) can apply to transfer to the major. College students with learning difficulties and physical reasons may apply to change their major.
