How many prizes can the national college students win in the preliminary contest of advanced mathematics?
National college students can win the third prize in the preliminary contest of advanced mathematics. The national advanced mathematics competition for college students is divided into preliminary contest and final contest. After entering the preliminary competition, it will be set as the third prize: first prize, second prize and third prize. The first prize of mathematics major (lower grade group) shall not exceed 5% of the total number of students, the second prize shall not exceed 10% of the total number of students, and the third prize shall not exceed 15% of the total number of students.
