Xi university of science and technology
Xi 'an University of Science and Technology, referred to as "West University of Science and Technology" for short, is located in the ancient capital of Xi, and was established in September 1958. Its predecessor was Xi 'an Mining Institute, which was transformed from the Department of Geology and Mining of Xi Jiaotong University. In April 2003, it was renamed as "Xi 'an University of Science and Technology" with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
Xi 'an University of Science and Technology is a university built by the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest" and the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, and one of the key construction institutions of high-level universities in Shaanxi Province.

Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, the only multi-disciplinary university in western China that features light industry, is a national key university jointly established by Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, China National Light Industry Federation and China Light Industry Group Corporation, one of the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest" and one of the provincial high-level universities in Shaanxi Province, and one of the "National First-class Universities" in Shaanxi Province.
The school has three campuses: Xi 'an Weiyang Campus, Taihua Road Campus and Xianyang Campus, with a total area of 2,055 mu and a building area of 1.296 million square meters.
