The developer of this kind of moon cake is Yue Huifen, a graduate student of Northwest A&F University. Talking about the original intention of the production, she said, "I remember that when I was a sophomore, my mother specially brought moon cakes from my hometown by train. I remember that every year my roommates received moon cakes from my parents, and they had traveled all over China. It suddenly occurred to me that there are so many high-quality raw materials in our school, why can't we make exclusive moon cakes, pin our homesickness and report peace to our loved ones? "
Yue Huifen's research direction at school is miscellaneous grains. She said that nowadays people generally eat flour and rice, and their diet is very unbalanced. And many traditional moon cakes are high in oil and sugar, which is not healthy. "I just want to apply what I have learned and make my familiar miscellaneous grains into healthy moon cakes, so that everyone can have a green and healthy Mid-Autumn Festival."
Based on this idea, the "colored potato" rich in natural anthocyanins and other polyphenols studied by experts from Northwest A&F University became the main raw material for Yue Huifen and her friends. At the same time, they also developed a series of moon cakes, and both millet and tartary buckwheat were used to make special moon cakes.
Although she is still studying, Yue Huifen is already one of the founders of a trading company. Her biggest dream is to process wheat, miscellaneous grains and colored potatoes cultivated by Northwest A&F University to form a complete industrial chain from the field to the dining table.
Give a compliment to the creativity of college students.
