Chengdu University of Technology (Engineering &; Technical College of Chengdu University of Technology, referred to as "Licheng Project", is located in Leshan City, Sichuan Province. It is a private full-time general college focusing on engineering. It was founded in 2000 by Southwest Institute of Physics of China Nuclear Industry and Chengdu University of Technology in the largest controlled nuclear fusion experimental base in Asia. It is the only university directly affiliated to China's nuclear industry and the first independent college approved by the Ministry of Education.

The school, formerly known as Chengdu University of Technology Leshan Branch, is a full-time ordinary college (secondary college) approved by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education in 2000. 200 1 Chengdu University of Technology was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In the same year, the college was renamed Chengdu University of Technology Leshan Branch. In March 2003, the college was officially renamed as Engineering and Technology College of Chengdu University of Technology.
