Shanxi University has enrollment plans in 28 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) this year, namely Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing and Sichuan. Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong and other merged provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) participated in the batch enrollment of undergraduates, and all other provinces participated in the first batch of undergraduate enrollment.

The enrollment batches in Shanxi Province are as follows: among the majors (categories) of literature, history, science and engineering, pre-school education, physical geography, resources and environment in Wucheng Campus are B batches, other majors (categories) are A batches, and all majors in Dadongguan Campus are A batches; Among the arts and sports majors, music performance, composition and composition technology theory, dance choreography and physical education are advanced arts and sports majors, while drama, film and television literature, musicology, painting, visual communication design, environmental design, digital media art and calligraphy law are undergraduate majors. In addition, according to the national requirements, Shanxi University has 19 majors (categories), which enroll students in the "special plan" for undergraduate students.
