Open universities can be divided into six types: public and government-funded open universities. Public, self-financing and non-profit open university. Private for-profit open university. Private non-profit open university. General University Alliance Private Open University. There are transnational non-profit open universities.
1, National Open University: a new type of institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), supported by modern information technology, paying equal attention to academic education and non-academic education, and implementing distance open education.
2. Shanghai Open University: It is a new type of institution of higher learning sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, approved by the Ministry of Education and managed by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The school, formerly known as Shanghai TV University, was founded in 1960. In 20/0/2, Kloc was renamed as Shanghai Open University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is the first school named after "Open University" in China.
3. Beijing Open University: a new type of institution of higher learning organized by the Beijing Municipal Government and headed by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, supported by modern information technology, provides distance and open education for adults. Its predecessor, Beijing Radio and TV University, was founded on 1960, and was renamed Beijing Open University with the approval of the Ministry of Education on June 20 12.
The role of the open university:
