Chongqing University (CQU), referred to as Chongqing University for short, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is jointly built by the Ministry of Education, Chongqing Municipality and the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, ranking among the national "double-class" and "21/project".

2. Southwest University of Political Science and Law&; France), referred to as "western politics", is located in Chongqing. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government. It is the earliest political and legal college in New China and the first batch of national key universities after the reform and opening up.

Chongqing Medical University, referred to as "Heavy Medical Care" for short, was jointly established by the people of China, the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Wellness Commission and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, and was selected into the national "11Plan" and "Basic Capacity Building Project of Universities in the Midwest".

4. Chongqing Jiaotong University (CQJTU) is a multi-disciplinary university with transportation as its feature and industry as its main body. It was jointly built by Chongqing Municipal People's Government, China Municipal People's Government and Ministry of Transport, and was selected as the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest".
