Enrollment in the same year 1 1200 people. 1953 was renamed as "East China Second Industrial School", under the leadership of the Second Machinery Department; 1955 Xi An Architectural Engineering School merged with teachers and students majoring in architecture; 1956 was renamed as "Yangzhou Architectural Engineering School"; 1958 upgraded to "Yangzhou Institute of Technology", under the leadership of Jiangsu Province; 196 1 renamed Yangzhou Agricultural Machinery Institute, 1962 restored the name of Yangzhou Institute of Technology. 1965, the school was placed under the leadership of the Fifth Ministry of Machinery Industry and upgraded to "Yangzhou Institute of Technology"; 1969 the school was forced to close; 1972 Yangzhou optical and mechanical school resumed classes, 1978 enrolled 300 college students in the name of "Yangzhou College Class of Nanjing Institute of Technology"; 1980, Yangzhou Institute of Technology was restored with the approval of the State Council, and its subordinate relationship returned to Jiangsu Province. 1987 upgraded to "Yangzhou Institute of Technology". 1992 Yangzhou University was jointly established with Yangzhou Normal University, Jiangsu Agricultural College, Yangzhou Medical College, Jiangsu Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Jiangsu Business School.
