Heihe university is located in Heihe city, Heilongjiang province, which is known as the pearl of the northern Xinjiang of the motherland. It faces Blagoveshchensk, the third largest city in the Russian Far East, across the river. It is the only ordinary undergraduate college in China on the border of more than 4,300 kilometers between China and Russia. In May 2004, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was designated as a provincial college by the Heilongjiang provincial government in April 2006. There are 705 faculty members, including 443 full-time teachers, 227 doctoral students who have passed the examination and are studying, and those with associate senior titles or above 16 1 person. The college has 24 undergraduate majors, covering 7 disciplines including economy, education, literature, history, science, engineering and management, 13 two disciplines and 5 research institutes. Undergraduate and junior college students were enrolled in 18 provinces and cities nationwide, with more than 8,200 students. The planned land area for college construction is 807,700 square meters, and the building area of school buildings is 210.3 million square meters. In recent years, the college has overcome many difficulties, actively raised funds, continuously improved the conditions for running schools, increased teaching investment, and provided a good teaching and learning environment for teachers and students. The college constantly strengthens the construction of disciplines and specialties, pays attention to the rational layout of specialty settings, and various educational and scientific research achievements are constantly applied to teaching practice. The Russian major and painting major of the college are provincial key majors, and the Russian major was awarded the third batch of national colleges and universities' characteristic majors in February 2008. Since the college was upgraded, it has made great progress in education and scientific research. It has obtained 99 scientific research projects approved by the state and provincial levels, published 765,438 books and edited textbooks, and published 936 papers at all levels.
