Yangzhou University, abbreviated as Yang Da, is located in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It was established by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Tongzhou Normal School and Tonghai Agricultural School founded by famous industrialist and educator 1902 in modern times. 1952 when the national departments were adjusted, the whole system moved to Yangzhou to run schools, laying the foundation for Yangzhou Normal College and Jiangsu Agricultural College.
