Professor Jianhua Tao is a pioneer in the field of computer simulation of water flow in China. 1992 UNDP 1994, she was hired as a special expert of the United Nations Development Programme and went to India to teach for the aided project "River Ocean Mathematical Model Center". She has undertaken a series of major projects at home and abroad, such as Friendship Port in Mauritania, Sanya Port in Hainan, Zhuhai Port in Guangdong, Deepwater Channel Project at the Yangtze River Estuary in Shanghai, Yangshan Port in Shanghai, Tianjin Port, etc., and completed more than 70 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, Ministry Funds and Ministries. She won the first and third prizes for scientific and technological progress of the State Education Commission with 1988 and 1995, the first prize for scientific and technological progress of Tianjin Construction Committee with 1998, the second prize for scientific and technological progress of Tianjin with 1999 and 2006, and won the "Earth Award" in 2002 respectively. 1993 and 1994 were awarded the title of "March 8th" red flag bearer in Tianjin. He has published more than 100 papers in domestic academic journals and international conferences, and written monographs such as Numerical Simulation of Water Waves.
