Research fields of the State Key Laboratory of Quantum Optics and Optical Quantum Devices (Shanxi University)
Based on quantum physics, the laboratory studies the nonclassical properties of light field, the generation of quantum states, the basic quantum phenomena and special effects of the interaction between light and matter, explores the quantum physical process of the interaction between atoms and photons, develops devices or structures with specific quantum properties through various modern technologies, and applies them to quantum communication, quantum measurement and other fields. The "fully-solidified single-mode single-frequency green laser" developed in the laboratory has adopted a unique innovative design for the laser resonator body and structure, and has been applied to many scientific research institutes in the United States, Japan and China, playing the role of a public research platform in this field; "Using bright EPR beam to realize quantum dense coding" realizes continuous variable quantum dense coding for the first time, which has become a successful application of entangled state light field in quantum information. "Continuous variable three-component entangled state light field and controllable quantum dense coding" obtained the continuous variable three-component entangled state light field for the first time in the world, and completed the quantum communication experiment of controllable quantum dense coding on this basis; "All-optical signal storage by using the coherent effect of four-level atoms in a cavity" completes all-optical storage of optical signals and low-power control switching of cavity output states, which provides a new physical mechanism for all-optical and quantum information processing.
