The College is committed to the integrated scientific development of Industry-University-Research with teaching as the core, scientific research as the support and social services as the beneficial supplement. It has four departments, namely, Civil Engineering Department, Architecture Department, Urban Science Department and Environmental Engineering Department. At present, there are seven undergraduate majors, including civil engineering, engineering management, architecture, urban planning, resource environment and urban and rural planning management, geographical science and environmental engineering, and master's programs, such as structural engineering, human geography, engineering mechanics, geographical courses and teaching theory. The college pays attention to the effective integration and overall linkage of internal resources. The four disciplines and industrial units have formed a socialized service system of "project consultation → environmental assessment → planning → architectural design → foundation treatment → project supervision → building energy efficiency evaluation", giving full play to the Group's operational advantages. The college has research institutes such as Road and Bridge Engineering Institute, Structural Engineering and Disaster Reduction Institute, Structural Safety and Engineering Management Institute, Geotechnical Engineering Institute, Urban and Environment Institute, Urban Planning Institute, Cultural Space Design Institute, Architectural Design Institute, Regional Development Planning and Geographic Information Institute, Environmental Engineering Institute, Building Energy Conservation and Materials Research Institute. In addition, there are many R&D academic institutions such as Ningbo New Rural Construction Research Center, Ningbo 3S Technology R&D Center, Zhejiang Central Europe Environmental Protection Technology Testing and R&D Center, Ningbo Building Energy Conservation R&D Center and Ningbo Population and Social Development Research Center. The college has six industrial units with independent legal personality, including architectural design institute and supervision company with Grade A qualification, foundation treatment center, engineering testing center, urban and environmental research institute and building energy-saving testing center.
