When was Dule Temple, commonly known as the Big Buddha Temple, founded?
Dule Temple was built in the tenth year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (AD 636) and rebuilt in the second year of Liao Dynasty (AD 984). It has a history of more than 1000 years. It is a masterpiece of ancient wooden buildings in China and one of the three existing Liao temples in China. 196 1 was approved by the State Council as a national key protected cultural relics unit. In ancient times, "Dule Morning Light" was listed as the first of the eight scenic spots in Yuyang, and now "Dule Morning Light" has been selected as one of the ten scenic spots in Jinmen. Dule Temple has been included in the World Historical and Cultural Heritage List.
