Tianjin Sino-German Universities of Applied Sciences is the first Universities of Applied Sciences in China approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor, tianjin sino-german vocational technical college, was founded in 1985 by merging the former Tianjin Sino-German Modern Industrial Technology Training Center and the former Tianjin Enterprise Management Training Center.
This is the largest cooperation project between China and German, Japanese and Spanish governments in the field of vocational education and training. The school is located at No.2, Shen Ya Road, Haihe Education Park, Tianjin, near the Bohai Sea. It is under the jurisdiction of Tianjin Municipal Government and under the centralized management of Tianjin Industry and Information Technology Commission.
Tianjin Sino-German Universities of Applied Sciences Haihe Education Park is located on the south bank of the middle reaches of Haihe River, between the central city of Tianjin and the "core area" of Binhai New Area. The planned area of the park is 37 square kilometers, and the traffic pattern of "one ring and three verticals" has been initially constructed, which can quickly reach the urban area and Binhai New Area. According to the requirements of functional orientation, Haihe Education Park will strive to become a comprehensive education park that integrates vocational education, vocational training, skill appraisal, vocational guidance and skill competition, combines Industry-University-Research, and is open to the society.
