The Historical Development of Zhejiang University of Technology
1952 in March, the State Council made the instruction that "secondary technical education must be rectified and developed in a planned and step-by-step manner", and determined that all kinds of secondary specialized schools should be gradually placed under the leadership of relevant business departments.

1On July 3rd, 953, the Ministry of Heavy Industry of the Central People's Government issued a document to merge Wenzhou Gaogong, Hangzhou Industrial School and Suzhou Gaogong Chemical Department to form Hangzhou Chemical School of the Ministry of Heavy Industry of the Central People's Government. There are 835 students after the merger of the three schools, 19 classes (including 6 in Wenzhou). Among them, Wenzhou Industrial School was renamed as Hangzhou Chemical Industry School Wenzhou Branch.

On September 1953, the school officially opened on June 10, and the opening ceremony was held on June 14 to celebrate the school anniversary.

1954 During the summer vacation, Wenzhou Branch was cancelled and moved back to Hangzhou.

1958 was listed as a provincial key secondary specialized school.

1June, 958, the school was under the leadership of Zhejiang Provincial People's Committee and renamed as Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology.

1In February, 960, the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee decided to establish Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology in the suburb of Quzhou on the basis of Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology, and the school site was chosen at the foot of Lanke Mountain, South Shishi Commune in Quzhou (now Shishi Township, Kecheng District, Quzhou City).

On February 22nd 1960, Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology broke ground. In half a year, the school building 1.25 million square meters was built.

In September, junior college and undergraduate moved to Quzhou to start teaching activities. In the same year, all the houses on the east side of the main road in Wen Yi Road Campus (excluding Building 14) were handed over to Hangzhou Institute of Technology (after the closure of Hangzhou Institute of Technology, the above houses were handed over to the Party School of the Provincial Party Committee). The buildings and facilities on the west side of the main road and the east side of the main road 14 are all reserved for the use of technical secondary schools (later changed to Hangzhou Chemical Engineering School).

1July, 963, the school was led by the Ministry of Chemical Industry, and Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology moved back to its original site in Hangzhou (Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology). The two schools share the building of Hangzhou Chemical Technology School.

1965165438+10, the school was once again under the management of Zhejiang province, and Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology moved back to the original site of Quzhou.

1966- 1976 During the Cultural Revolution, 1966- 1970 suspended enrollment for four years, and 1970- 1976 only enrolled 922 students in the sixth session.

1On July 27th, 970, the Revolutionary Committee of Zhejiang Province decided to merge Hangzhou Chemical Engineering School into Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology. The former Zhejiang Silk Institute moved in and all the houses and facilities were handed over to the school.

1978 in may 12, Zhejiang institute of technology was established under the Zhejiang provincial party Committee. The school site is selected in Wang Chao and Dongxin Brigade of Shangtang Commune in Xihu District (namely Zhao Hui Campus in Xiacheng District), with a planned land area of 430 mu, designed according to the scale of 3,000 students.

On July 29th, 1978, the "Leading Group for the Preparation of Zhejiang Institute of Technology" was established.

1980 Zhejiang institute of chemical technology merged into Zhejiang institute of technology as the foundation of the school.

199 1 year 10, the people's government of Zhejiang province began to discuss with Mr. Zhang Ziliang, a Taiwanese industrialist from Jiaxing, about donating money to build Zhejiang University of Technology on the basis of Zhejiang Institute of Technology.

199 1 year1February 16, the people's government of Zhejiang province and Mr. Zhang Ziliang signed the Agreement on Mr. Zhang Ziliang's Donation for the Construction of Zhejiang University of Technology, and accepted the donation of100000 US dollars, with the provincial people's government supporting expenditure of 60 million yuan.

1992 March 16, the people's government of Zhejiang Province approved the master plan of Zhejiang University of Technology.

1994165438+10 In October, the Zhejiang Provincial Government issued a document to merge Zhejiang Economic Management Cadre College under the Provincial Planning Commission into Zhejiang University of Technology.

1In July, 1999, the provincial government issued a document to merge Hangzhou Shipbuilding Industry School, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, into Zhejiang University of Technology and named it Zhijiang Campus of Zhejiang University of Technology. The school decided to set up a private secondary college in Zhijiang Campus-Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology.

In March, 20001year, the Zhejiang provincial government issued the minutes of the special meeting, and merged the Zhejiang Building Materials Industry School, which belongs to the Provincial Building Materials Industry Corporation, into Zhejiang University of Technology.

In June 2009, the Ministry of Education and the Zhejiang Provincial Government signed a * * * construction agreement, and Zhejiang University of Technology became a provincial university, which is also the first provincial university in the eastern coastal province.

In 20 13, the "Yangtze River Delta Green Medicine Collaborative Innovation Center" led by Zhejiang University of Technology was selected into the first batch of national university innovation capacity improvement plans ("20 1 1 plan"), becoming the second university in Zhejiang Province to be selected as a major national higher education project; Zhejiang University of Technology Ocean College was established; Officially become a member of the Association of Asian Planning Institutions (APSA).

20 14 was selected into the excellent teacher training plan; Signed an agreement with Deqing County People's Government to jointly build "Industrial Technology Research Park of Yangtze River Delta Green Medicine Collaborative Innovation Center" and jointly build Deqing Campus of Zhejiang University of Technology.

On April 20 15, it was selected as the first batch of key construction universities in Zhejiang Province.
