The School of Foreign Languages of Dalian Maritime University was formerly the Department of Foreign Languages of Science and Technology of Dalian Maritime University. 1997 The Department of Foreign Languages of Dalian Maritime University was established. In 2005, it was renamed Dalian Maritime University School of Foreign Languages. Since the merger of Dalian Maritime College 1953, a group of returned intellectuals, diplomats and knowledgeable English teachers have come to teach in the college. Yang Meimei, Kong Qingyan, Liu Hongzhang, Zhu Kai and other famous experts in language teaching and research have emerged. The textbook Basic English, edited by the editor, is widely used in the whole country and is recognized as the representative of the first generation of college English textbooks, which makes our college's foreign language teaching enjoy a high reputation in domestic science and engineering colleges.
