Because 1983, in order to accept the loan from the World Bank, the school started to run only a junior college, so it was renamed Chengdu University, and later it re-established its undergraduate course and moved to Shiling Town, Longquanyi. However, it is still called Chengdu University because it does not meet the conditions for renaming the university temporarily, but the Ministry of Education has retained the name of Chengdu University. The name of the school gate was also written by Chengdu University.

Financial management is an undergraduate major in the School of Economics and Management.

The college offers four undergraduate majors: international economy and trade, business administration, accounting and financial management, and five majors: financial management and practice, business administration, accounting, marketing and community management and service.
