Shayibak district 1:
Shayibak District is one of the central urban areas of Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with an area of 382 square kilometers and a built-up area of 53.3 square kilometers. There are 38 ethnic groups, including Han, Uygur, Hui and Kazak, with a total population of 670,000. Administer 13 sub-district offices, 5 district management committees, 1 administrative village, 177 community neighborhood committees. 2. The new city:
The new urban area and the national Urumqi High-tech Industrial Development Zone implement the system of "integration of district and government", [1] is subordinate to Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, located in the northwest of Urumqi, with a length of 14 km from east to west and a width of 9 km from north to south. The total area of the new urban area is 143 km2 and the total population is 379,220 (in 2000). The new urban area governs 1 town, 4 townships and 13 streets, where 38 ethnic groups, including Han, Uygur and Hui, live. There are more than 500 central organs, autonomous regions, troops stationed in Ukraine, armed police forces, production and construction corps and other units, more than 20 scientific research institutes such as Xinjiang Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Xinjiang Academy of Social Sciences, and 33 institutions of higher learning such as Xinjiang Medical University and xinjiang university of finance. The new urban area is a transportation hub leading to northern Xinjiang and an important international channel connecting China and West Asia.
3. Shuimogou District:
Shuimogou District belongs to Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, located in the northeast of Urumqi, and is one of the four central cities in Urumqi. The current division is located in the southern margin of Junggar Basin, at the northern foot of the western end of Bogda Peak in Tianshan Mountain, with Hongshan Road as the boundary in the south, Osaka City as the boundary in the southeast, Shayibak District and New Town as the boundary in the west, and Midong District as the boundary in the north and east.
4. Toutunhe District:
Toutunhe District belongs to Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, located in the northwest of Urumqi, and is the sub-center of Urumqi. Toutunhe District was built in April of 196 1, and named after Toutunhe in the west. 20 1 1 merged with Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone to establish Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone (Toutunhe District). It is adjacent to the new urban area in the east and north, bounded by Toutunhe and Changji in the west and the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain in the south. The total area of the region is 275.59 square kilometers, and the total population is 5288 15 (20 1 1 year). There are 26 ethnic groups including Han, Uygur, Hui, Manchu, Xibe, Russian, Mongolian and Korean. Toutunhe District has small green valley waterscape park, big green valley ecological park and other tourist attractions. Wanda plaza and Urumqi high-speed railway station are both in Toutunhe District.
5. Dabancheng District:
Dabancheng District belongs to Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Located at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain, the southern section of Junggar Basin and the southern suburb of Urumqi, it borders Dawan Township and Toli Township in the west, Turpan City and Toksun County in the southeast, Lucaogou Township, fukang city and Jimsar County in the north, and Tiangeer Mountain in the middle of Tianshan Mountain in the south.
6. Midong District:
Midong District belongs to Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In August 2007, with the approval of the State Council, Miquan City, the former Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, was merged with Dongshan District, Urumqi City. With a total area of 3,407.42 square kilometers, the region governs 5 towns, 2 townships, 6 streets, 8 1 administrative villages and 48 communities with a permanent population of 333,676 (2010).
