Fujian Medical University is a "double-first-class" construction university in Fujian Province, which focuses on medicine, develops in a coordinated way with multiple disciplines and has a complete talent training system. It is also a health talent training center, a medical science research center and a medical and health service center in Fujian Province. There are two campuses in Shang Jie and Taijiang, with a planned area of about 1550 mu.

At present, there are six first-level disciplines of doctoral degree authorization, including clinical medicine, basic medicine, stomatology, public health and preventive medicine, pharmacy and nursing, and two doctoral degree authorization points. There are 9 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degree and 9 authorized points for master's professional degree.

Scientific research platform:

It has 74 provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms, including national and local joint engineering research centers for tumor immune drug development, key laboratory of digestive tract malignant tumor of the Ministry of Education, Fujian new drug safety evaluation center, Fujian new drug research and development center, key laboratory of Fujian universities, and new think tanks with characteristics of Fujian universities.
