Tibet University, referred to as Tibet University for short, is a comprehensive university directly under Xizang Autonomous Region, a 2 1 1 key engineering construction university, and an engineering university for basic capacity building of universities in the central and western regions. The People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region and the Ministry of Education * * * established universities, national "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction universities, excellent doctoral education and training programs, and excellent agricultural and forestry personnel education and training programs to reform pilot universities, which were included in the Central and Western Higher Education Revitalization Plan in May, 20 13, and were successfully approved as doctoral degree-granting units in July, 20 13.
Tibet University for Nationalities
Tibet University for Nationalities, located in Xianyang, an ancient capital on the Weihe River, is the first batch of institutions approved by the State Council to confer bachelor's degrees. It is a university founded by the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region and the State Committee for Ethnic and Religious Affairs. The first phase of the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions was selected as universities, and East China Normal University provided counterpart support to universities.
Tibet Tibetan Medical College
Tibet Tibetan Medical College was established in September, 1989. It is the only independent Tibetan medicine institution of higher learning in China, headed by Xizang Autonomous Region, established by Xizang Autonomous Region People's Government and state administration of traditional chinese medicine, and supported by state administration of traditional chinese medicine.
Tibet agriculture and animal husbandry college
Tibet Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College, which originated from Tibet Public School founded by 1958, was renamed Tibet Institute for Nationalities on 1965. 197 1, the majors of agriculture, animal husbandry, electromechanical and accounting of Tibet University for Nationalities moved to Linzhi, and later renamed Linzhi Branch of Tibet University for Nationalities. 1978 was named Tibet Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College. Later, it experienced the merger and independence with Tibet University, and finally became an independent school on 20 16.
