Southwest Jiaotong University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and its main campus is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The first batch of "double first-class", "21project", "special 985 project" and "201/collaborative innovation plan" are equipped.

School history:

Southwest Jiaotong University was founded in 1896, then named as Shanhaiguan Beiyang Railway Institute. Later, the school site was moved again, and it was named as Jiaotong University, Tangshan Jiaotong University, China Jiaotong University and Northern Jiaotong University. 1952 was renamed Tangshan Railway Institute, 1964 moved to Emei, and 1972 was renamed Southwest Jiaotong University.

Campus distribution:

Southwest Jiaotong University has four campuses: Jiuli Campus, Xipu Campus, Emei Campus and Chengdu East (International) Campus, with a total campus area of more than 5,000 mu. By March 2023, there will be 289 full-time undergraduate students14 and master students 15053.
