According to the "Delayed Graduation System for Undergraduates", undergraduates in Yunnan University need to complete the credits in four years, and the average score is above 70 before they can graduate normally. Those who have not completed the credits at graduation need to apply for an extension of graduation, but the longest study period shall not exceed six years.

The academic performance of Yunnan University is divided into three parts, with 20% in normal times, 20% in mid-term and 60% in final exams. Students who complete their studies need to complete poor credits within two years and graduate according to graduation thesis, defense and other procedures.
