What is the experience of southerners going to college in the north?
This world is not only instant, but also poetic and distant. -high

I am an out-and-out southerner. I am studying in Harbin now and will not go home until I have a semester off. I have been longing for the distance since I was a child, and I am particularly curious about all new things. I always want to see different places and meet people from different places. So when I volunteered, I applied to all foreign schools in the east, west, north and south, and finally fate made me go to Harbin.

I have mixed feelings about the school being too far from home. I yearn for the beauty in the distance, but I also think of the warmth of my hometown in the dead of night.

Some good experiences

1, you can feel the cultures of different regions. For example, I am from the south, but I study in the north, and I feel that there is a great difference between the north and the south, whether it is diet or life. Northerners really like pasta. There are all kinds of noodle restaurants in our school. I ate noodles every day during my first week at school. There is also Northeast Mala Tang, which is really delicious! They like sweets very much. My roommate adds a lot of sugar every time he eats hot pot, and I'm not used to it. They don't eat spicy food. I remember the snail powder we had for the first meal in our dormitory. I ordered a medium spicy one, but I don't think it's spicy at all. My roommate ordered something slightly spicy, and they were all extremely spicy.

2. The difference in life is that I am surprised until now, that is, they wash their faces directly with water, and I always wet the towel before wiping my face. They all say I seem to be playing house. Every time I use facial cleanser, I always wet the towel before wiping my face. My roommate doesn't understand why I have to wet the towel first and then dry my face.

You can go out to play during the long vacation without being urged home by your parents. I traveled to Dalian on May Day last year. It's really cool! Don't worry about getting home, play as long as you want.

Some bad feelings

1. Roommates are all local. Sometimes they go home on weekends, just me and another roommate from other places. The dormitory is really deserted, but fortunately, the two of us can keep company.

Every school holiday, I have to drag a lot of things to catch the bus, and it's a long way, and the road is really lonely.

3. In the dead of night, I really secretly shed tears, so I suddenly want to go home and miss my parents' cooking.

Whether it is close to home or far from home, it is a different experience. These experiences are precious. Live in the moment!
