Jiangxi Normal University, referred to as "Jiangxi Normal University", is located in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi, a famous historical and cultural city. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, and was selected as a basic capacity-building project for universities in the central and western regions.
The school originated from Lushan Bailudong Academy and was founded by National Chung Cheng University on 1940. 1949 changed its name to National Nanchang University; 1953, the part that stayed in Jiangxi was renamed Jiangxi Normal University; 1983 changed its name to Jiangxi Normal University.
As of May, 20 19, the school has two campuses, Yaohu and Qingshan Lake, covering an area of more than 3,500 mu, with a building area of10.4 million square meters, with a collection of more than 3,236,900 paper documents and 3,495,700 e-books.
