Investigation report on college students' living conditions

To tell the truth, this is an assignment, which is only related to the results of my elective courses. I chose this course only because the elective course teachers have good taste in clothes and interesting people. However, with the deepening of the investigation, my heart was deeply hurt, and a special group entered my sight-poor female college students. Therefore, I regard them as one of the focuses of my investigation.

Fully mention

College students have always been a high-profile group. We are the future of society and the hope of the motherland. Our own characteristics determine our particularity. The main purpose of this survey is to understand and understand the living conditions of college students, better understand contemporary college students, and better let more people have the opportunity to really understand this special group. Understand our embarrassing situation, our problems, our present situation, and care about our lives, our psychology and our future. The subjects are undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students. The scope of investigation is mainly concentrated in Harbin Engineering University. Due to the loss of a large amount of funds during the May Day holiday, the survey method was changed from questionnaire survey to oral inquiry survey and posting survey on the Internet. In addition, this survey quoted a large number of data from other credible surveys, and I would like to thank you!

2. Investigation report

Economic situation of college students

I mainly completed this part of the survey by asking questions orally. The survey population includes undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students. In the investigation, I was surprised to find that the consumption psychology of our college students has changed a lot, mainly rational consumption, but there are also many problems.

1. The concept of saving is weak, and financial quotient needs to be cultivated and strengthened.

Robert Toru Kiyosaki, the founder of the word "financial quotient", once said: "Financial quotient has nothing to do with how much money you earn. It is the ability to measure how much money you can keep and how long you can make it work for you. " When asked about the concept of "financial quotient", many students said it was strange. When asked about the financial situation after the end of the semester, most students admitted that their consumption had exceeded the planned scope, and even some students needed to borrow money from others. There are also a few students who have thought about how to spend the rest of the money, and only a few students have the consciousness of saving. It can be seen that the current financial quotient of college students needs to be cultivated and strengthened.

2. High consumption level

In the survey on average monthly consumption, 54.5% of students spend between 400 yuan and 800 yuan, 9.7% spend between 900 yuan and 2,000 yuan, and even 0.4% admit that their monthly consumption is as high as 2,000 yuan. It can be seen that the overall consumption level of college students is high. Behind this high consumption, 92.4% of the students come from family supply, and only 4.8% of the students get paid by other means such as part-time jobs as the main source of living expenses. "Reaching out to parents" is a matter of course for everyone. Therefore, it is not surprising that money is lavish and reckless.

3. There are unreasonable factors in the consumption structure, especially girls.

The main components of college students' living consumption are living expenses and purchasing study materials and supplies. In the cost of living, meals are the most important. It is estimated that the daily expenses for students' basic dietary needs are about 8 yuan, and the monthly net food expenses for students are about 250 yuan. Most of the dietary expenses of girls are below 300 yuan, some control their appetite in order to keep slim, and some choose cheap meals regardless of nutritional needs in order to save money; The problem is that we don't know enough about healthy eating.

4. Excessive pursuit of fashion and famous brands, with the psychology of comparison.

In my investigation, I found a phenomenon: in order to own a mobile phone or change into the most popular mobile phone, some students are willing to scrimp and save, and even sacrifice their other necessary expenses; Some male students borrow money or even steal money for a pair of brand-name sports shoes to satisfy their desires, while some female students borrow money or even steal money for a set of brand-name cosmetics or a brand-name dress, which can reflect that some students don't know how to live within their means, and vanity drives them to form an endless comparison psychology. In this era when brand concept is prevalent, brand-name labels and shiny LOGO have become the blind pursuit goals of many people who lack recognition and self-control. Although from a certain point of view, the brand symbolizes personal taste, but college students do not have the ability to "do it yourself and have plenty of food and clothing", so high consumption has nothing to do with personal ability, but only shows the difference of family background, which is inconsistent with the spirit of advocating personal struggle.

5. Excessive consumption in love

In our investigation, we found that some college students who are in love spend around 100-200 yuan every month, ranging from 50 yuan to 500 yuan. Most of them admit that in order to pursue their emotions, they need material input, and it is often difficult to rationally grasp the principle of moderate consumption.

Life and study of college students

College students' life at school is undoubtedly the focus of college life. Take my five departments as an example. I investigated 160 undergraduates and 20 postgraduates. Among undergraduates, 62 people study 12 hours every day. In addition, nearly 10 students studied for nearly 16 hours. Only three students study less than three hours a day. Among 10 graduate students, the average study time is 1 1.5 hours, and 3 students study 16 hours on average every day. These data first show that our department is too tired to study. Secondly, it shows that the postgraduate entrance examination is easier to end. Under such great academic pressure, students are likely to ignore the improvement of their own abilities and blindly pursue high scores. This is a very serious problem, and I hope it can attract the attention of relevant departments! There are endless homework in my spare time, so I still have time to manage friendship and love after finishing my homework.

Guangzhou 168 college students accepted a random questionnaire survey. Among them, 33. 13% of the respondents think that "premarital sex" is ok, and sexual behavior is a personal behavior, so it is enough to be responsible for it; 43.37% people think that it is not possible, and premarital sex is harmful to themselves; 2 1.69% people think it doesn't matter, as long as preventive measures are taken; 1.8 1% people think that physiological needs, even a "one-night stand" is acceptable. Answering "What do you think of cohabitation before marriage?" 65.64% of the respondents think they can try, but they need to think carefully before trying. In addition, 9.82% people think it doesn't matter, whether it doesn't matter or not, or resolutely oppose it, which is morally unacceptable. (Excerpted from Southern Metropolis Daily)

This shows that college students are more open to sexual issues, but they are not mature enough and have great hidden dangers. I call on the relevant departments to care about the academic performance of college students and their sexual psychological problems, so that we can become healthy people first and then master certain professional knowledge.

The Spiritual World of College Students

Someone asked this question on Baidu, and the answer was depression, boredom and emptiness. Not long ago, a survey asked college students to describe their mental state in a few words. 55. 1% students wrote down depression and emptiness. Why do college students in their prime think so? I don't know, because I am that 55. 1%! ! !

After analysis, I think the main reason is the lack of faith.

The beliefs here are extensive. Under the influence of social environment, 95% students have no loyal religious beliefs, and basically no students really believe in materialism. Party member, a student, is selected mainly by his academic performance, which, like all kinds of certificates, is the weight of employment. 80% students have no spiritual idols.

"Learning from British model figures" and "contributing to society" have always been highly respected practices and values, but when these are no longer recognized by some college students, are there no noble people worth learning? In fact, in 2004 alone, a number of advanced models from all walks of life, such as Xu Zhenchao, Ren Changxia, Zhou Guozhi and Niu Yuru, appeared in the media. As for the typical figures introduced by the news media, some students believe that as long as idealism still exists, those hero models will exist. More students think that personal success is more important. College students' idol view reflects the diversity and individuality of contemporary college students' value orientation. What they express is actually a spiritual world that has nothing to do with idols. In real life, many college students attach more importance to personal happiness and success. This modern life concept with self-experience as the first element has actually deeply influenced nearly 20 million future social elites. People in the education sector have expressed concern about the upsurge of postgraduate entrance examination, practical knowledge, high rate of self-study at night and many people going to the library. Their motivation is self-cultivation, and their leading ideology is self-worth and self-struggle. At the end of 2004, a survey by a market monitoring organization showed that contemporary college students regard "having a warm family", "having a successful career" and "being mentally healthy and happy" as the main criteria for evaluating their greatest happiness, while the life happiness standards such as "contributing to society" and "becoming famous and getting married" have not been respected by the mainstream of college students. At present, college students are under various pressures from employment, economy and interpersonal communication, and they are more rational and pragmatic in concept. At the same time, students feel confused, depressed and anxious about the society outside campus, and they especially need specific life guidance and spiritual guidance.

College students' employment and postgraduate entrance examination

According to the survey data of Wenke.com, only 15. 1% people think it is easy to find a job, and more people express their intention that it is not easy to find a job. 19. 1% people are satisfied with their first job, and 25.9% people say they will actively do their first job well. Most people treat their first job with the spirit of riding a donkey to find a horse.

Among college students, 92% feel employment pressure, and 3 1% of them feel "great pressure". Students' expectations of employment are generally high, and most students choose "what they like" or "professional counterparts". Only 20% of students are confident in employment, and students generally think that the talents needed in modern society are capable and experienced.

Xiaoxiang morning herald's questionnaire data for undergraduates (freshmen to seniors) in local universities in Changsha shows that at present, 46% of the students have had internship experience. In addition to the internship arrangement of the school, as many as 96% students have their own internship plans during their college years, and only 4% students do not intend to practice independently. 34% of the students said that "at any time, as long as there is an internship opportunity, they will not let it go". The data shows that 69% of senior students have internship experience and 49% of junior students have internship experience. 18% of freshmen have had internship experience, and the internship rate of sophomores is 35%. Forging a pair of "practical experience" armor, students think that internship is the best way, and the number of times they want to practice has greatly increased. 8 1% students are not satisfied with one internship, and 15% students have more than five internships. As for the internship time, 60% of the students think that three months is more suitable for an internship, and 30% of the students set the internship time as "three months to six months".

In the survey, 68% of the students have passed one or more vocational (professional) certificates, 30% have passed the examination, and only 2% have not. In order to accumulate experience, many students have tried their hand in the field of recruitment and have been trained to be "clean". 48% of the students had job hunting experience in school, and as many as 84% of them will apply for jobs in advance, and 36% of them are in their senior year or plan to apply for jobs in their senior year. It is also worth noting that 12% of freshmen have started to apply for jobs, while the proportion of freshmen applying for jobs is 2 1%. Seventy percent of college students are unwilling to support the west. In the questionnaire, the research group also asked such a question: "What is your monthly salary when you expect to go to work one day?" The survey results show that 65% of college students require a monthly salary of 2000-3000 yuan, and few students choose less than 2000 yuan. In addition, 70% of college students clearly choose not to support the west, but to stay in a big city with superior conditions.

Most college students take the postgraduate entrance examination to avoid competition.

When asked "What will you choose to do after graduating from college", 60% choose "postgraduate entrance examination", 26% choose "employment", 6% choose "going abroad" and 8% choose "never considered". Among these 60% students who choose to take the postgraduate entrance examination, most of them hold the mentality of avoiding the current competition and employment pressure, and think that the employment situation will improve after finishing the master's degree or postdoctoral degree. In this regard, Mr. Zhang, who has been engaged in the graduation distribution of college students for a long time in Liaoning University, said that it is easy to fall into the "blind zone" of postgraduate entrance examination. A more objective attitude should be to face the current employment situation bravely and plan your career with your own interests and specialties. If you choose to take the postgraduate entrance examination, you should never avoid competition. Instead, we should fully consider our own needs and add weight to our professional competition with high academic qualifications.

It can be seen that college students are not unable to find jobs, but have too high expectations for their jobs. Many college students require employers to be perfect, such as salary, welfare and housing. Are under consideration. Blindly pursuing high salary and high position treatment will eventually lead to missing out on the employer that suits you. The "big city complex" is also something that college students must get rid of. When they are running around and frowning for their "ideal" jobs, some small and medium-sized cities in remote areas are in great demand for talents, but it is difficult to win the favor of college graduates.

The Living Situation of Poor Female College Students

After three months of careful investigation and analysis, the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation recently released a survey specifically aimed at "poor college students whose basic living expenses are difficult to meet the minimum food standard where the school is located, unable to pay tuition fees and buy necessary school supplies, and have no economic security in their daily lives". The Survey Report on Poor Female College Students released by the Foundation for Poverty Alleviation shows that:

38. 1% of poor female college students get less than 100 yuan per month from home, and 28.7% of poor college students get less than 100 yuan per month.

15.7% of poor female college students come from one-child families and 25.3% from urban families. With the economic fluctuation and the further increase of laid-off workers in cities, this figure is likely to increase further.

Poor female college students in non-western regions need social care just like those in western regions.

Poor female college students have three difficulties: study hard, work hard, find a job, and even fall in love is a delusion. ...

Shortly after the investigation report of poor female college students was completed, Huo Qingchuan of the New Great Wall Project Department of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation found the media, hoping to release the investigation report as soon as possible, because they hoped to help these poor female college students in this way. The New Great Wall Project is a public welfare project that mainly helps poor college students. It was launched on September 1 2002. By the end of 2003, the project had raised a total of 9.25 million yuan to support 367/kloc-0 poor college students, covering 32/kloc-0 colleges and universities in 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. The characteristic of this project is not only to provide financial aid to poor college students, but also to support their growth spiritually. Over the past year or so, the New Great Wall has discovered a group of poor female college students hidden in the depths of university campuses. People seldom pay attention to it, and no one pays special attention to it. It is difficult for this group to survive, at least in school, work-study program and employment.

Our society is still biased against women going to school. Many rural girls cannot continue their education after studying for a period of time. In this prejudice, these poor female college students have gone through the experience of primary school, junior high school and senior high school all the way to college. Their families cannot provide them with the most basic study and living conditions, and it is not easy to enter the university. On the difficulty of work-study program. There are not many opportunities for college students to work and study in society, and it is difficult for boys to find opportunities for work and study, let alone girls. Similarly, in the street, it is easy for boys to hold up the sign of work-study program, but it is more difficult for girls. If girls find work-study opportunities, they will still be limited by working hours, distance and other factors, while boys are less limited by these conditions. Gender discrimination still exists in social employment. When poor female college students go to find jobs after graduation, many employers easily turn them away when they hear that they are girls.

On the twentieth day after the start of school this spring, the New Great Wall Project Department of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation conducted a survey of poor female college students. The New Great Wall distributed 20 questionnaires for schools and 1000 questionnaires for students. The survey mainly covers 20 different types of colleges and universities in different regions, such as agriculture, forestry, medicine and teachers' colleges, and 1000 students recommended by these schools. Actually, 4 valid school questionnaires/kloc-0 and 759 valid student questionnaires were collected, and the effective recovery rates were 70% and 75.9% respectively. Huo Qingchuan introduced that according to the standards of the New Great Wall, the standard of "poor students" is that the monthly living expenses are below 120 yuan, and the standard of poor students is below 180 yuan. However, due to regional differences, local standards vary greatly. For example, in Beijing, people whose monthly living expenses are lower than those in 300 yuan are considered "poor". The "poor female college students" in this survey were selected according to the standards provided by various places.

15.7% came from one-child families.

Among the poor female college students surveyed, 19.4% came from agricultural university, 6.6% from forestry university, 6.6% from medical university, 15.3% from normal university and 52.2% from comprehensive university. 38. 1% of parents can pay their living expenses below 100 yuan per month; 100 yuan to 200 yuan, accounting for 44.3%, and only 17.6% above 200 yuan.

The survey shows that at present, more than 70% of the poor students in colleges and universities come from "old, young, frontier, mountainous and poor" areas. The rural economy is depressed, and there is a lack of labor at home, resulting in income only enough to maintain food and clothing. At the same time, in recent years, the number of poor families in cities, especially families of laid-off workers, is increasing day by day. The whole employment situation is still grim, the re-employment rate of laid-off workers is lower than before, and urban families are also facing many difficulties in supporting college students. Among the poor female college students in this survey, 74.7% are from rural families and 25.3% are from urban families. Most of them come from two-parent families, only 1 1.9% of female college students come from single-parent families, and 0.5% of poor female college students are orphans. 15.7% of poor female college students come from one-child families, and 84.3% of poor female college students come from families with two or more children.

Poor students' families generally have a heavy family burden and financial difficulties. Since 1996, all kinds of colleges and universities in China have been generally "merged". Although the charging standards of different schools and majors are different, the annual fee per student is mostly 3,000 ~ 8,000 yuan, and the popular majors in some key institutions even reach 10,000 yuan. Together with accommodation and living expenses, the average annual cost of training a college student is more than 654.38+100000 yuan. Ordinary families are still difficult to pay, and poor families are even more unbearable, leading to more and more poor students in colleges and universities.

Most poor female college students think "going to college" is their childhood dream, and now their dream has finally come true. If they have the opportunity to receive a good education, improve their comprehensive quality and exercise their ability to adapt to society, they will cherish this hard-won opportunity, study hard, master all kinds of knowledge and cultivate all kinds of abilities. Although they are now living in difficulties and facing various pressures, they still believe that they will find a good job and contribute their light and heat to society.

More than 90% of the living expenses are less than those in 200 yuan, and falling in love is a luxury.

Poor female college students' living consumption level is very low, and the basic living expenses are difficult to meet the minimum food standards where the school is located. They are unable to pay tuition fees and buy necessary school supplies, and there is no economic guarantee in their daily lives. The survey shows that 28.7% of them spend 5 1 yuan to 100 yuan, 37.9% spend1065,438+0 yuan to 150 yuan, and the proportion below 200 yuan is as high as 93.7%. In terms of consumption other than meals, 13.7% of poor female college students simply can't afford school supplies, and 49.8% of poor female college students can only spend less than 20 yuan to buy school supplies. Up to 56.6% of poor female college students have no financial ability to buy clothes, and 25.2% of their monthly clothing expenditure can only be below that of 20 yuan. 65.9% of female college students can't afford cosmetics, and 3 1.5% of poor female college students can only spend less than 20 yuan.

According to the survey, the monthly living expenses of these students are about half of that of ordinary students, or even lower, and even the minimum food problem cannot be guaranteed. Most of them live in poverty, and they have to limit their expenses in all aspects of life at all times, and they are often in a dilemma. Among the poor female college students in this survey, 45.6% have a hard life and can only rely on part-time jobs to make a living. There are 42.2% poor female college students living in poverty, and the money in hand must be carefully planned to maintain their lives; There are as many as 6.6% poor female college students who have a particularly difficult life and cannot continue their studies. 84.7% poor female college students are under the pressure of family financial difficulties; 60.2% face the pressure of rising tuition and book fees; 48.5% is the pressure of rising living expenses; 42.0% are under intense study pressure; There are also 28. 1% people who are afraid to talk about money with their classmates because of the pressure of poor exams. When encountering difficulties in life, 28.2% of students don't want others to know their worries, 36.8% choose to talk to their former classmates, 3 1.4% choose to talk to their current classmates, 28.0% talk to their families, and 17.4% talk to schools and teachers.

In the arrangement of spare time, 66.2% of poor female college students' spare time activities are work-study programs; There are 83.8% poor female college students' spare time activities are studying, and only 9.6% poor female college students have leisure activities. Work-study programs are mainly in-school work-study programs and tutoring, accounting for 50.3% and 45.5% respectively. Only 9.6% poor female college students have leisure activities. Poor female college students have to use their spare time or even class time to go out to work to earn money and pay tuition to make a living. Earning money is only to solve the problem of food and clothing, not to mention purchasing school supplies, books, materials and so on. Not to mention establishing an image. 56.6% poor female college students don't buy clothes, and 65.9% poor female college students don't buy cosmetics.

Because of the pressure of economic poverty, falling in love is a luxury for poor female college students. The survey shows that only 4. 1% of poor female college students hold a favorable attitude; 34.7% poor female college students think it doesn't matter; 26.8% poor female college students disapprove; There are also 34.4% poor female college students who have not even thought about this issue. On the issue of personal future employment, 2.8% poor female college students did not consider the future employment; Only 6.7% poor female college students have no confidence in future employment and are at a loss; 43. 1% poor female college students think that they should have jobs after graduation; There are 47.4% poor female college students who have confidence in themselves and think that they will have a satisfactory job after graduation.

On the question of receiving help, 86. 1% of poor female college students are willing to accept help from others when they encounter difficulties in life. 82.5% of poor female college students want help in tuition, 40.3% in living expenses, 38.2% in training and 24.2% in psychological counseling.

Lack of special funding policy

The report pointed out that colleges and universities have a high evaluation of poor female college students, and believe that most of them come from rural areas, and their families are in financial difficulties and cannot afford tuition fees and other expenses. They scrimped and saved, and used their spare time to work and study in order to get a small amount of subsidies. Despite such heavy economic pressure, they are not lacking in ambition. They study hard, work hard and have excellent academic performance. Some of them are even excellent, self-reliant, self-motivated and in good mental state. I believe that with their tenacious personality strength, they will make greater contributions to society and become the pillars of the new era in their future work.

However, among the 14 universities surveyed, only Inner Mongolia University, Hohai University and Tongji University have set up special subsidy policies for poor female college students. Among them, Inner Mongolia University established the Zhou Kaixuan Scholarship (also known as the Scholarship for Female College Students Tomorrow), which was funded by Zhou Kaixuan's donation. The funding standard is 2,500 yuan, and the funding period is 4 years. Hohai University established a diligent scholarship, which was donated by the Women's Higher Vocational Committee. The funding standard is 800 yuan/person, and it is evaluated every year 1 time. Tongji University established a scholarship for female college students, which was donated by Jianguo Foundation. The funding standard is 5000 yuan, the funding period is one year, and the number of sponsors is 10, but only once. No other university has a subsidy policy specifically for poor female college students.

I hope the social school media can pay more attention to these children my age and have practical ways to help every classmate. Don't link everything with study. Children from wealthy families can continue to go to school if they don't study well, and children from poor families can't get poverty allowance if they fail a subject. How can you live without poverty allowance? ! ! ! ! ! It's so unfair! Besides, now that everyone is rich and official, it doesn't necessarily mean that they studied well when they were students. They should not judge poverty subsidies by their studies!

Three conclusions

Through this survey, we know that the basic living expenses of college students are generally realistic and reasonable; College students' attitude towards sex and marriage is open; At the same time, too much academic pressure is also the primary problem we have to face; The emptiness and desolation of college students' spiritual world is sad, but it is the social atmosphere that has entered the campus, which is rooted in the fact that society is not in school; The employment situation of undergraduates is grim, so many people choose to take the postgraduate entrance examination; The living conditions of poor female college students are worrying. Due to the multiple pressures of society, family, life and employment, many poor female college students are full of hardships. They need more attention and support from all walks of life! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
