The development of history
China University of Mining and Technology, formerly known as Jiaozuo Road Mining School, was founded by Beijing Syndicate Co., Ltd. 1909. Jiaozuo Road and Mine School is one of the three private universities in the late Qing Dynasty and the only private engineering university run by foreigners. It is also the earliest mining institution of higher learning established in China and continues to this day, ranking among the earliest modern universities in China.
