An overview of Dong Quanzhou's calligraphy
Dong Quanzhou, the word Yuxuan, was named Wenxi. Now he is a national first-class artist (calligraphy), the title of "People's Artist" in China, and an academician of China International Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute. Born in Qingdao, 1956, he benefited from his grandfather's enlightenment since childhood and received professional guidance from many painting and calligraphy teachers in middle school. I have been obsessed with calligraphy for more than 50 years. I have learned from famous calligraphers such as Wang Erwang, Zhao Mengfu and Zhiyong, and I have learned from Yu Youren and Dong Qichang. I majored in calligraphy in recent years. Proficient in regular script, official script, running script, cursive script, especially running script, has been highly praised by many domestic publications and won unanimous praise from experts in the industry. His works have been collected by the United States, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Taiwan Province, Hongkong and other countries and regions, as well as the Chinese People's Armed Police Force, the Second Artillery Corps, the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Health Planning Commission, the Tsinghua University Library, Peking University and other units and leaders, and have attracted enthusiastic attention from all walks of life, especially academic friends.
20 14 National Day is the 10th anniversary of the retirement of Professor Zheng Fuyu of Tsinghua University, a famous nuclear physics expert in China, the chief assistant of Mr. Zhu Guangya, the father of "two bombs and one satellite" when he was young, and enjoying special allowance from the State Council. The relevant state departments and the Party Committee of Tsinghua University are going to hold a special forum for him, because Professor Zheng is a scientist and educator who has made great contributions to the country and Tsinghua. Professor Zheng decided to present ten calligraphy works to the leader as a thank you. By chance, Professor Zheng saw the work of a Shandong calligrapher named Dong Quanzhou in a friend's WeChat circle of friends, and suddenly his eyes lit up: it was him.
Professor Qingdao Agricultural University commented on Dong Quanzhou's calligraphy in this way: Mr. Quanzhou's calligraphy is based on Weibei and absorbs the essence of the two kings. At the same time, it is integrated into the big grass of the Tang Dynasty, flowing continuously and freely. It draws lessons from the running script of the Song Dynasty, which is appropriate, chaotic and elegant. But it strengthens the joint characteristics of the pen, highlights the square fold of the pen and emphasizes the rhythm of ink color.
Appreciating Mr. Dong Quanzhou's works alone, I obviously feel the strong personal appearance of the works, which is calm and soft. This is inseparable from Mr. Wang's comprehensive cultivation. It can be said that Mr. Dong's calligraphy is basically a rational writing process, but it presents a very emotional result. Every pen pays attention to the pen, pen and pen in place. Highlight the statutes of writing, composition and ink painting. It not only retains the essence of traditional techniques, but also meets the aesthetic requirements of modern people.
Looking at the contemporary book world, there are many talents, diverse styles and diverse patterns. It is commendable that Mr. Dong Quanzhou can stick to his own creative style, learn from others and explore himself imperceptibly.
Dong Quanzhou was born in a scholarly family. His grandfather/kloc-went to Qingdao at the age of 0/5, and/kloc-went to Beijing at the age of 0/8 to make a living. Influenced by his grandfather, 6-year-old Xiao Quanzhou began to go to school and of course began to write. In the computer of the whole mainland, grandpa's vigorous and vicissitudes of life are still preserved.
The whole continent has a very special feeling about writing since childhood. On the first day he entered the classroom, he saw the fonts of the rows of square teams at first sight, and his heart "jumped, jumped". Suddenly, an irresistible passion welled up in his heart. Later, whenever he sat at his desk and looked at the pen and paper, he felt that the brush in his hand suddenly became a mountain spring. The unfolded paper is a piece of Shan Ye with grooves on it. Spring water gushed from the pen and filled the ditches in the field. A wonderful pattern thus framed a square of fonts.
Perhaps this is the starting point of Dong Quanzhou's calligraphy art.
Dong Quanzhou loved calligraphy since childhood. In the years to come, no matter what he is doing, as long as he sees calligraphy, as long as it is words, he will seriously study and ponder. Many years later, he recalled that as long as he saw good calligraphy, a torrent would gush out of his heart and gurgle along the font of calligraphy. Sometimes when I encounter passion, the calligraphy font has been filled, and passion will continue to wander in the space in front of me until I wake up from drunkenness.
His "mind calligraphy" benefited him a lot. As long as he closes his eyes, a famous copybook in the history of calligraphy will appear immediately. The treasures of these ethnic groups have been deeply rooted in the hearts of the whole continent.
It can be said that it is the motto of Mr. Dong Quanzhou's life to establish personality first and teach by example. Moreover, for decades, he has been respectfully following this law of life and art and constantly practicing. Looking back on Mr. Quanzhou's road, it is for the people, the officials and the civilization. Mr Quanzhou's 80-year-old mother is still here. Mr. Quanzhou respectfully entertains the elderly every day. After her mother's recreation, she was actually influenced by Quanzhou and learned hundreds of words every day.
Mr. Quanzhou's love for calligraphy is really like holding Guiyu.
In the sacred palace of national calligraphy, the whole continent is looking for the deep footprints of art masters along the way. He studied Wei Bei with Zhang Menglonghe's copybook. Later exercise books were taught by Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi; After learning Zhang Xu and Huai Su's cursive script, I also learned Yu Youren's cursive script, which is vivid and vivid.
Time flies, and the spirit of calligraphy art gradually appears in him.
He is well versed in calligraphy: "first establish the character" and "practice the character". He has always insisted on learning and tempering calligraphy. When it was inconvenient to use paper and pen, he practiced calligraphy on the palm of his hand, on the ground and in his heart, gaining enlightenment, and calligraphy was dyed on rice paper, which finally pushed the art of calligraphy to a spiritual and thorough situation. In Dong Quanzhou's words, he has "four lines", that is, learning is the source of books, Weibei is the source of books, Mo is the bone of books, and Zhangzhang cursive script is the rhyme of books.
Dong Quanzhou's calligraphy has smooth and steady fonts, smart and vigorous lines and elegant words. Fonts vary in size, spacing and spacing, and they change wonderfully all the time. There is a break between words, which is spontaneous, interesting and natural. The break is dense, the continuation is sparse, the strokes are stretched, the lines are bright, the strokes are vivid, the rigidity and softness are combined, and the pearls are splashed with jade, leaving blank space for daydreaming. Judging from the whole calligraphy works, it shows chic in introversion, simple and heavy in implication, unique in bold and unrestrained, and simple and natural in richness.
The characters in Dong Quanzhou's works combine his efforts and profound "external merits".
Mr. Quanzhou worked as a township head and party secretary, and the hard work at the grassroots level made his mind bigger and bigger. Later, as a leading cadre of municipal organs, he gradually accepted this kind of mind, which made his life value and artistic value volatilize and publicize at the same time during this period. During his tenure as director of the State Oceanic Administration (Beihai Branch), the whole continent became more and more chic like the sea. People dance like the spring breeze, and the language is as high as the spring breeze. The official has a clear voice and a broad mind, and his brush is as cold as ice. His works in this period are enough to show that the galloping life of horseshoe is chic and open-minded.
Over the years, Dong Quanzhou has been like a devout pilgrim in order to gain extensive artistic knowledge. He has traveled all over many art shrines and temples. His calligraphy art has a growing influence in the United States, Italian, Japanese, Hongkong, Taiwan Province and other countries and regions.
However, Dong Quanzhou doesn't care much about fame and status. He said that calligraphers speak by their works. He urged calligraphers to become scholars. He said that ancient calligraphers were first literati and then calligraphers. Numerous famous calligraphers in history are great scholars with profound knowledge. Their calligraphy shows the great spirit of learning, and their learning also shows the bones and muscles of calligraphy. A true calligrapher is a person who combines knowledge and calligraphy perfectly.
In his view, calligraphy is not only "writing", but more importantly, it promotes the power of personality to a higher level, which is the real art of calligraphy.
Dong Quanzhou walked along such a road. He is versatile, not only proficient in calligraphy, but also has deep attainments in writing, photography, tourism, archaeology and other disciplines.
Facing Dong Quanzhou's exquisite calligraphy art, we feel, taste and weigh Dong Quanzhou's calligraphy works, which seems to feel a strong pulse. This is the pulse of the times. These works "have pictures in words and poems in pictures", and you will feel that his calligraphy is soulful and alive. You stand in front of them, as if talking to history, art and your soul.
Mr Quanzhou is a well-read man. He was influenced by the fine tradition of Confucius and Mencius and the noble family style of scholarly family. Because he has read some ancient books, it covers a wide range of social sciences, including astronomy, geography and omniscience. Mr. Quanzhou believes that the art of calligraphy is not the display of skills, but the condensation of cultural details. Why China's calligraphy is so charming is precisely because it is a profound embodiment of China culture. No wonder Professor Zheng Fuyu of Tsinghua University was very positive when he saw Mr. Quanzhou's works, because Professor Zheng saw from the outline and layout of his works that Mr. Quanzhou was not only a well-read person, but also a rational person with a strong sense of responsibility and sincere feelings for society and people, a person with deep understanding and lofty aspirations for career and life, and an expert with foresight and keeping pace with the times.
We stared at Mr. Dong Quanzhou's works, and there was only one sentence in our hearts: I wish Mr. Dong Quanzhou's calligraphy art is deeply rooted!
